Good practice: Internationalisation of Teacher Education

We would like you to share with us interesting examples of internationalisation of Teacher Education. Selected case studies will be published in the digital repository and described in our report on internationalisation on Teacher Education. The title of your activity and name of the institution will be used but your personal data will not be disclosed.

Internationalisation of Teacher Education can include both mobility actions as well as the integration of internationalisation objectives within the academic programme, with the inclusion of international case studies, the integration of diverse cultural perspectives, the incorporation of the perspective of international students in class, on-line and blended international interactions, visiting professors, international events on campus, international bibliography (even if translated in local language), the use of different languages within the programme, just to mention a few.

Information clause on the processing of personal data

In accordance with Article 13 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016. (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter GDPR) we inform you that:

1. The Controller of your personal data is the University of Szczecin, Al. Papieża Jana Pawła II 22a, 70-453 Szczecin, hereinafter referred to as “the Controller”, represented by the Rector;
2. The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Inspector, who can be contacted in matters concerning the processing of personal data at the following e-mail address: iod@usz.edu. pl;
3. Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of implementation of the activities within DITE – Diverse Internationalisation of Teacher Education project (2021-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000031129):

a) creating a report on the status of internationalisation of teacher education, including online repository of good practice examples,
b) creating a DITE network and communication with the network members,
c) performing statistical, accounting and reporting duties of the Controller,
d) archiving.

4. The legal basis for processing your data is:
a) Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, i.e. your consent to the processing of your personal data, including for the purposes set out in point 3(d). We will ask you about the impression of your consent each time, at the same time indicating the purpose of the processing, in a situation where there is no other legal basis for processing your personal data,
b) Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, i.e. fulfilment of the Controller’s legal obligations arising from the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science and other regulations applicable to the Controller, including reporting, accounting, statistical and archiving obligations,
5. The Controller may share your personal data with: internal organizational units of the Controller, entities providing services to the Controller on the basis of concluded agreements and other authorities or entities authorized on the basis of separate regulations;
6. The Controller may entrust another entity, by means of a contract concluded in writing, with the processing of your personal data on behalf of the Controller, in particular entities providing entities providing and maintaining software used for processing data;
7. The Controller will keep your personal data for the duration of the DITE project, unless separate provisions stipulate a different retention period. However, in the case of processing your data on the basis of consent, no longer than until you withdraw your consent;
8. In cases, on the terms and in the mode specified in the applicable regulations, you have the right to request: access to data and their rectification (Article 15 and 16 GDPR), deletion of data (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR), objection to processing (Article 21 GDPR), data portability (Article 20 GDPR) and withdrawal of your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing, which was performed on the basis of consent before its withdrawal;
9. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority – the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection – in case you suspect that your personal data is being processed by the Controller in violation of the law;
10. The obligation to provide your personal data arises from the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science. Failure to provide this data will prevent the implementation of the educational process. Providing personal data in the remaining scope is not obligatory, although it is necessary to realize the purposes for which they will be collected;
11. Your personal data is not subject to automated decision-making, including profiling as referred to in Article 4(4) of the GDPR, which means a form of automated processing of personal data which involves the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal factors of an individual;
12. Your personal data may be transferred to a third country (i.e. outside the EEA) or to an international organisation on the principles laid down in the provisions of law.
